    Two people including the personal staff member of Kerala Power Minister Aryadan Mohammed have been arrested for murdering Radha, a sweeper at the Congress office. According to the police the incident happened at the Congress block office at Nilambur in Malppuram on February 5, Wednesday.

    CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan alleged that there is an attempt to save some people in the murder case, and there is mystery in the police version of the story. The CPM has took out protests march to the Congress block office in Nilambur, demanding a thorough investigation into the matter.

    According to the police, one of the accused Biju had an illicit relation which Radha was aware of. She blackmailed him for money and the tiff led to Radha's death. Biju smothered her to death and along with his aide Shamsudheen kept her body in a sack and dumped it in a pond about 16 KM from the office. The body was found on Sunday and the arrests made on Monday.

    On Tuesday there were reports that the lady was killed in a rape attempt. However, the police stated that this can be found only after they receive the post-mortem report.

    Power Minister Aryadan Mohammed said that there has been no attempt to save anyone involved in the case.
