J U D G M E N T

The petitioner is a Health Supervisor in the Department of Health Services of the Government of Kerala. The petitioner aspires for promotion to the post of Food Inspector. According to the petitioner, the petitioner is fully qualified for such promotion. Despite vacancies available, the petitioner is not being considered for promotion is the grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition. The petitioner has filed Ext.P8 representation before the 1st respondent in this regard. The petitioner would be satisfied with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P8 expeditiously.

2. I have heard the learned Government Pleader also.

3. Having heard both sides, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P8, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment, after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner.
